The history of Aztecs carved skulls in monoliths of lava, and made masks of obsidian and jade. The skull motif are used in decoration as there were molded on pots, traced on scrolls, woven into garments, and formalized into hieroglyphs. Now they are represented in black clay with hand carved geometric and flower motifs. Use a candle to shine the light through this skull in the dead of night!
